PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS OF THE WEEK
SHOOT, SHOOT, SHOOT! The more you shoot the better you'll be.
LIGHTING
Reflectors and bouncers are essential when shooting outdoors in harsh sunlight. Sometimes, using a flash to counteract the shadows can create an artificial look. If you're aiming for a more natural appearance, consider using a reflector or a diffuser to manage the intense light or to evenly illuminate the shadows on your subject.
CAMERA SETTINGS
Using a slow shutter speed is ideal for capturing a dreamy action shot! Centre your subject or track them during the shot to minimize motion blur on them compared to the background. This technique can create a stunning in-camera effect and draw attention to the subject.
EDITING / POST PRODUCTION
Masks are incredibly effective when used correctly; they can alter the appearance of specific areas of your image without impacting the parts you wish to remain unchanged. If you're seeking a dreamy aesthetic but lack a black mist diffuser, consider masking your light sources and decreasing Clarity and Texture. This technique will soften the highlights, creating an enchanting dreamy effect.
